Fundraising Gala update

January 22, 2010 at Delta Grandview was quite a night! With the help of our wonderful new partner Delta Muskoka Resorts, we are very fortunate to have raised over $22,000 through ticket sales, sponsorship and Silent and Live Auction sales. Patrons enjoyed an outstanding dinner, entertainment and a lot of excitement over the terrific draw prizes and auction items.
Thanks to everyone - Donors, Patrons, Sponsors, Volunteers, Fundraising Committee members and the fabulous staff from the Delta Resorts for creating a memorable event. We'll be back!

What is Habitat?

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, faith-based housing program dedicated to eliminating poverty housing from the world. It seeks to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from the broad spectrum of social, ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds to work in partnership to build homes and hope with families in need. Habitat was founded in the United States in 1976, came to Canada with the first affilate in Winkler Manitoba in 1985, and to Muskoka in 1999. Today Habitat builds homes in over 100 countries around the world.
